Motorola Moto G13: Pricing and specifications emerge for upcoming mid-range model
It seems that Motorola is preparing to release a raft of new mid-range smartphones soon, with the Moto G13 likely to serve as the entry-level edition in this year's Moto G series. According to The Tech Outlook, the Moto G13 will offer slightly worse hardware than the Moto G23, which also leaked recently. Based on various leaks, Motorola will mainly distinguish the Moto G13 and Moto G23 with different cameras.
Specifically, the Moto G13 is rumoured to feature a 50 MP primary camera, mirroring the Moto G23. However, the former will also rely on 8 MP front-facing and twin 2 MP auxiliary cameras, which are all downgrades on the 16 MP front-facing, 5 MP ultra-wide-angle and 2 MP macro cameras in the Moto G23. Still, the Moto G13 will match the Moto G23 with a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, 4 GB of RAM and a 6.5-inch IPS display that operates at 720p and 90 Hz.
The Moto G13 will also contain a 5,000 mAh battery like the Moto G23. The Moto G13 will peak at 20 W though, compared to the 30 W of which will the Moto G23 will be capable. In other words, the Moto G23 should be able to recharge the same battery significantly faster than the Moto G13 can. Reputedly, the Moto G13 will be available later this year for €159 with 64 GB of storage, €40 cheaper than the Moto G23. A 128 GB option could be in the works too, which may be too close to the Moto G23's price tag, considering the Moto G13's downgraded hardware. Unfortunately, a release date has not leaked yet, nor has pricing for other regions.
