Samsung Galaxy A24 specs leak with renders revealing flashy S23 design influence on the rear
Renders and specifications for the Samsung Galaxy A24 have been leaked via Thetechoutlook, and it is clear to see that the phone has been treated to some of the design elements that have been given to the Galaxy S23 series while only offering suitably middling specs. Unfortunately, the illusion of a premium design is somewhat spoiled when viewing the Galaxy A24 from the front, as can be seen in the renders below.
So, from the rear side, the Samsung Galaxy A24 has lost the bumpy camera housing of the Galaxy A23 and has borrowed the camera rings from the Galaxy S23 series. The phone looks flashy from the rear, and it is shown off in black, burgundy ("dark red"), silver, and a yellowish-green ("light green") color. But the front is very typical for this kind of affordable smartphone, so there is a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera and ridiculously thick bezels to gaze upon.
As for the Galaxy A24 specs, apparently these are headed by a MediaTek Helio G99, which is a modern mainstream 8-core processor that while not being as performant as a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will still get the job done for those who don’t need the highest score on Geekbench. The report also states that a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel is in place for the Samsung Galaxy A24 with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 also being part of the package.
The Samsung Galaxy A24 cameras also look decent enough on paper: 48 MP wide + 8 MP ultrawide + 2 MP depth sensors on the rear with a 16 MP selfie camera on the front. A 4,000-mAh battery is listed as part of the specs but this could even end up being 5,000 mAh according to another source. A Galaxy A24 launch date is expected to fall in March 2023, with the predecessor A23 (4G version) having been launched on March 4, 2022.
