Signs that Samsung intends to launch successors to both the Galaxy A53 and M53 soon have been bolstered by their appearance on the official Thai NBTC and Bluetooth SIG databases respectively. Their apparently confirmed product names and model numbers - SM-A546E/DS and SM-M546B/DS respectively - point to the retention of 5G and dual-SIM capabilities in both cases.
The M54 was once believed to launch with the same processor as the former Galaxy S21 Ultra flagship - however, as the SIG has failed to detect the Snapdragon 888 in testing it for its Bluetooth 5.3 capabilities, it looks like it is headed for the Exynos 1380 silicon also allegedly destined for the A54.
Then again, only one of them now has a rumored launch date. The Galaxy A54 is tipped to headline the next Unpacked event at the end of March 2023, as it might debut as the highest-end option alongside siblings such as the A34 and A14 4G during that event.
