Samsung India teases new Galaxy A series smartphone with 120 Hz display and 2 days battery life
Samsung India has released a teaser website for an upcoming Galaxy A series smartphone. While the website does not showcase the device, it provides initial information for what appears to be an announced model in any market. Samsung has not even revealed the device's model name, although a glance at image file names indicates that it is another version of the Galaxy A14.
The Galaxy A14 5G launches tomorrow in the US, as we discussed last week. However, it seems that the Indian version of the Galaxy A14 will offer different specifications. So far, Samsung India has confirmed that the device features a 120 Hz display, 30 Hz faster than the equivalent in the Galaxy A14 5G. Both smartphones have a 6.6-inch panel, though. The new Galaxy A14 will retain the Awesome Black, Awesome Burgundy and Awesome Green colourways of its 5G sibling while adding Awesome Blue and Awesome Chrome options.
The device will feature the Galaxy A series' usual assortment of several rear-facing cameras, likely with at least one 2 MP auxiliary lens. Supposedly, the device will last up to 2 days on a single charge, although manufacturer estimates tend to overstate a device's battery life. Samsung India will announce the new Galaxy A14 on January 18 at 12 PM IST (06:30 UTC). The device will ship with 5G connectivity and 8 GB of RAM too, 2 GB more than the Galaxy A14 5G received.
