Updated | AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Ryzen 9 7900X3D and Ryzen 9 7950X3D finally have an official launch date
Update (12/01/2023): An AMD spokesperson told Videocardz in a statement that the February 14 launch date listed on the website was incorrect. While the processors will still launch in February, AMD will confirm the exact date at a later time.
Original story
Many would argue that AMD's Zen 4 X3D reveal at CES 2023 was a tad rushed. The company provided very little information about how it holds up against corresponding Intel SKUs. Worse yet, it didn't even hint at a launch date other than February 2023. The eagle-eyed folks over at OC3D have unearthed the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D's launch date, which is set for February 14 according to AMD's website.
AMD will launch the entire Zen 4 X3D lineup (Ryzen 9 7900X3D and Ryzen 9 7950 X3D) alongside the Ryzen7 7800X3D. Unfortunately, there is no word about how much they'll cost. If the Ryzen 7 5800X3D's launch price is anything to go by, one can expect the Ryzen 7 7800X3D to start at around US$500. It should easily dominate the upper mid-range segment and punch well above its weight class in gaming.
Given the Ryzen 9 7900X3D and Ryzen 9 7950X3D are the first of their class to get a 3D V Cache variant, it is hard to predict how much they'll retail at. A US$700 price tag for the former and US$850 for the latter seems likely. The Ryzen 9 7950X3D is one SKU to look out for, as it has the potential to render Intel's beastly Intel Core i9-13900KS dead on arrival even before launch.
