Tech enthusiasts worldwide are waiting with bated breath for Samsung to unveil the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy Book3 series at Unpacked. AMD, on the other hand, decided now would be an excellent time to reveal the price and availability of its recently unveiled Zen 4 X3D CPUs. While they barely make the February launch window promised at CES 2023, not all SKUs will be up for grabs immediately.
The AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D will retail at US$699, significantly higher than its non-X3D counterpart. Its younger sibling, the Ryzen 9 7900X3D, is no better off with its US$599 price tag. Both processors will hit shelves on February 28. Initial reports predicted a 30% generation-over-generation gains with Zen 4 X3D, and it'll be interesting to see if that figure holds up.
Moving on to what is arguably the most highly-anticipated SKU of the Zen4 X3D lot, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D will cost US$449. Unfortunately, one has to wait until April 6 to get their hands on one. Do note that these prices are "recommended" and could vary based on local taxes and other factors. A BIOS update will be required on all compatible AM5 motherboards for the Zen 4 X3D, which should soon be available on respective OEMs' websites.
