Ryzen 7 5800X3D price slashed to US$329 as AMD discounts Zen 3 CPUs in the US
Ryzen 7 5800X3D is AMD’s first CPU with 3D V-Cache. The 3D stacked cache makes the Zen 3 processor one of the best gaming CPUs on the market. AMD has now reduced the price of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D in the US to US$329. As a comparison, the processor launched at an MSRP of US$449. So, the current price is a 27% discount on the original.
Furthermore, AMD has also slashed prices for other Ryzen 5000 series CPUs. The Zen 3 flagship Ryzen 9 5950X which was introduced at US$799 now goes for US$549. The Ryzen 9 5900X has also seen a discount and you can now get one from AMD for US$349 (former MSRP of US$549). Finally, prices for the Ryzen 7 5800X and the Ryzen 5 5600X have also been cut by US$200 and US$140 respectively. The chips now cost US$249 and US$159. All Zen 3 CPUs mentioned here also include a free copy of the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection video game.
Furthermore, AMD also has a bunch of CPU + GPU bundle deals going on at the moment. For instance, you can get the Radeon RX 6750 XT and the Ryzen 7 5800X3D bundle for US$778. A year ago, a similar amount would have only gotten you an RX 6750 XT-class GPU if you were lucky, as the cards were either out of stock or were going for exorbitant rates.
The prices mentioned here are from AMD’s official US store. So, retailers like Amazon, Newegg, and Best Buy, to name a few, could be selling the parts at higher/lower prices.
The Ryzen 7 5800X3D has been selling quite well as of late in Germany and it makes sense. The CPU has almost the same gaming performance as the Zen 4 flagship, the Ryzen 9 7950X, for US$370 less based on the latest prices. Add to it the fact that you won’t need to shell out for a new AM5 board and DDR5 memory if you are already rocking an AMD CPU and you can see how going for a Ryzen 7 5800X3D could be an excellent choice for most people.
