Intel's fastest Raptor Lake desktop processor, the Core i9-13900KS, is no stranger to benchmarks. Recently, it was spotted on Geekbench where it convincingly outperformed both the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X and the Intel Core i9-13900K. A fresh set of leaked Cinebench R23 benchmarks further cement the Raptor Lake processor's hegemony.
Twitter leaker @chi11eddog has obtained data about the Core i9-13900KS' Cinebench R23 chops. It scores 2,366 and 40,998 in the single and multi-threaded benchmarks, respectively. The spreadsheet also shows how its immediate competition, such as the Intel Core i9-13900K (2,243/39,689), Core i9-13900 (1,938/38,496) and AMD Ryzen 9 7950X (2,057/37,892) fare. The leaker also states that Intel plans to launch the processor on January 12, 2023, shortly after the Raptor Lake mobile processors' debut at CES 2023.
The Intel Core i9-13900KS is the undisputed winner again, this time by a narrower margin. One can expect the real-world performance delta to be around the same, at least in synthetic benchmarks. Then again, the core i9-13900KS is tailored for extreme overclockers. The Core i9-i3900K already smashed AMD's years-old single-core frequency record and its KS variant bears all the markings for a record-breaking CPU.
