Intel's upcoming Core i9-13900KS processor scored 928 and 18,453 in CPU-Z's single and multi-core tests, respectively, effectively making it the fastest consumer desktop CPU on the market. Intel claims that it can boost to 6.0 GHz out of the box without overclocking.

Intel demoed a lot of interesting tech at its Innovation event yesterday; the main highlights being the new Raptor Lake desktop processors, Arc A770 graphics card and a rollable display. It also teased the launch of several other Raptor Lake processors, including the Core i9-13900KS, which will be launched in limited quantities later next year. As its name suggests, it is an improved version of the already impressive Core i9-13900K and can reportedly boost its P-cores to 6.0 GHz out of the box. Benchmarks of the processors have already arrived on Bilibili (via HXL).

The Intel Core i9-13900KS sample was tested on CPU-Z, where it scored 928 and 18,453 in the single and multi-core benchmarks. None of its key specs are revealed here, unfortunately, but we can see that it has 32 threads. If last year's release cycle is anything to go by, the processor will have an identical core count (8P plus 16E) to that of the Core i9-13900K. It will almost certainly consume a lot more power and overclock well beyond the magical 8 GHz figure.

As expected, the Intel Core i9-13900KS bests both the Intel Core i9-13900K (900/17,000) and AMD Ryzen 9 7950X (790/16,000) by a wide margin. That said, the latter is notorious for underperforming in CPU-Z and one might have to wait for other benchmarks to surface before jumping to conclusions. Raptor Lake has turned out to be one of the most leaked lineups ever, so it is only a matter of time before some intrepid Bilibili creator like Extreme Player reviews it in full.
