Update: As Realme's latest teaser now illustrates, the 'C shape' found in its initial teaser is in fact a new little LED accent to be inserted into the black space of the GT Neo 5's elongated camera hump. Trendy indeed.
Original Article: Realme has now released its first GT Neo 5 teaser that contains a launch date as well as allusions to its ability to break Android smartphone charging records out of the box. These new posters also integrate an odd, almost C-shaped 'starship-gate' graphic that might just hint at fast wireless charging as well, presuming it's not just there to add more detail.
On that note, the Neo 5 is also now pitched at fans of "trends" as well as mobile gaming, which may or may not be relevant to its various leaks ahead of its announcement; for example, it is thought to launch with a 144Hz display, as if to match the speed of its new power brick.
it is suspected of debuting as a device with the same Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 as many 2022 Android flagships. On that note, it is also now said to launch with an OIS-enhanced 50MP main camera, possibly borrowed from Realme's sister brand OPPO.
Conversely, it is tipped to have a second variant that, while bearing the same basic product name, is believed to launch with a slightly different look as well as slower, last-gen (yet still triple-figure) wattage.
This "GT Neo 5 150W" is now even projected to launch with the Dimensity 8200 SoC instead, thus providing a practically budget option against the possible cost of upgrading to GaN-enhanced 240W SuperVOOC technology. If so, it should launch alongside its new 240W series flagship on February 9, 2023.
