Deal | Sony WF-1000XM4: Substantial savings to be had for premium earbuds in both colours during Black Friday promotions
There are plenty of deals on high-end TWS earbuds this Black Friday, with the AirPods Pro 2 and Google Pixel Buds Pro available at substantial discounts. Not to be outdone, Sony has reduced the WF-1000XM4 too, with the company bringing the ‘industry leading’ earbuds down from US$279.99 to US$179.99 on its website. Alternatively, Amazon is offering the earbuds for slightly less at US$178.
In other words, Amazon has cut the price of a pair of WF-1000XM4 earbuds over US$100, or 36% in percentage terms. The saving applies to the WF-1000XM4’s two colourways, while Amazon is also throwing in a 4-month free trial of its Music Unlimited Individual Plan. For reference, Amazon charges US$9.99 per month for this subscription or US$8.99 if you are already an Amazon Prime member.
The WF-1000XM4 may be over a year old at this point, but it remains one of the best pairs of TWS earbuds on the market. Built around Sony’s Integrated Processor V1, the WF-1000XM4 also features 6 mm drivers, offers up to 8 hours of battery life with ANC activated and supports the LDAC Bluetooth codec on Android devices. Please see our launch article for more details about the WF-1000XM4 and how the earbuds compare with their predecessors.
