OnePlus Pad and OnePlus Buds Pro 2 draw closer to launch
Word of the OnePlus Pad first surfaced over a year ago, with the company filing a trademark for that name. Since then, word of what will be OnePlus's first-ever tablet has proven elusive, but it now appears the project is still in the works.
As revealed by Max Jambor, the OnePlus Pad is coming. Reportedly, the tablet is "still in development", with its launch scheduled for next year. Actual details of the OnePlus Pad remain unknown but the tablet is unlikely to be a groundbreaking offering in that segment. Leaker Roland Quandt seems to think so, too, claiming the OnePlus Pad will likely be a rebranded tablet from one of OnePlus's sister brands, OPPO or Realme.
In a similar vein, OnePlus's next-gen premium buds are also on the way. According to Mukul Sharma, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 are in the internal testing stage. Details of the Buds Pro 2 leaked last month, showcasing the design of the earbuds along with specs including an extra hour of battery compared to the first-gen earbuds, IP55 rating, a twin-driver setup, Bluetooth 5.2 support, and improved ANC.
Just another underpowered and overpriced piece of Android-based tablet junk, likely slapping a new back on the Realme Pad or whatever. Android on tablets in such a bad state.
