The Vivo X90 series is a week away from launch. Geekbench listings have confirmed the device will launch in two flavours, one with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and another with a MediaTek Dimensity 9200. A hands-on image of the Vivo X90 Pro+ showcased its camera module and "Xtreme Imagination" branding. Twitter leaker Ishan Agarwal (via 91mobiles) has now shown off some renders of the upcoming flagships.
From a strictly aesthetic perspective, the Vivo X90 and Vivo X90 Pro+ are practically identical, complete with circular camera modules, and a centrally-placed hole-punch selfie camera. Closer inspection of the X90 Pro+'s camera module reveals a periscope-style telephoto lens, which is absent in the vanilla X90. Both phones, however, will likely employ the same 1-inch Sony IMX989V sensor as the wide-angle lens. A Weibo user (via MyFixGuide) has posted real-world images of the Vivo X90's three colour variants. Its better-specced sibling will only be offered in two colours.
Little is known about the middle-of-the-pack Vivo X90 Pro. Its conspicuous absence from the rumour mill suggests it may not exist, although there is at least one report (also sourced via Ishan Agarwal/Pricebaba) that talks about it. Then again, the number of parallels between last year's Vivo X80 series and the X90 suggests the company could stick with a two-device launch cycle instead of needlessly muddying the waters.
