OnePlus Nord Watch: New budget smartwatch arrives in two colours and with a large AMOLED display
OnePlus has finally presented the Nord Watch, a smartwatch that will be available first in India. Unsurprisingly, the Nord Watch is a cheaper alternative to the OnePlus Watch. However, OnePlus' latest smartwatch is more expensive than the OnePlus Band, which has an INR 2,799 (~US$34) MSRP.
In comparison, the Nord Watch retails for INR 6,999 (~US$85), although OnePlus' introductory offer reduces the smartwatch's price to INR 4,999 (~US$60). According to OnePlus, the Nord Watch features a plastic and zinc alloy body, within which sits a 1.78-inch AMOLED display that operates at 368 x 448 pixels, 60 Hz and up to 500 nits when needed.
Additionally, the Nord Watch promises up to 30 days of battery life from its 230 mAh battery or 10 days in general use with its heart rate and SpO2 sensors active. Moreover, the smartwatch has Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, IP68 certification and 105 exercise modes. Unfortunately, the Nord Watch lacks a GPS module; in other words, you must take your smartphone with you if you want to record GPS data when running or cycling, for example.
The Nord Watch is already orderable in India, where it is orderable in Midnight Black and Deep Blue colourways. OnePlus has not confirmed whether it intends to launch the Nord Watch globally yet.
