The OnePlus Nord Watch and Nord Buds draw closer to launch
OnePlus has a slew of devices lined to release this year. The company will release the OnePlus Nord 2T in India soon and specs of the mid-range phone have already leaked. OnePlus will diversify the Nord brand's portfolio as well, as word indicates an upcoming OnePlus Nord Watch launch too.
Sadly, there's little to no information about the technical details of the OnePlus Nord Watch. The source, Mukul Sharma, only indicates that the OnePlus Nord Watch exists somewhere. Presumably, the company will bring the smartwatch to the market sometime in the near future, with earlier rumors claiming a H2 debut alongside the OnePlus Nord 3.
OnePlus's first foray into the smartwatch market ended in disaster—the OnePlus Watch getting nigh-universal flak for its poor feature set and overall uncompetitiveness as a product, with most likening it to a larger fitness band than an actual smartwatch. Seeing as the Nord brand offers cheaper devices than the main OnePlus line, a potential Nord Watch can be expected to be cheaper than the ₹ 14,999 OnePlus Watch. Fans will be hoping the company manages to keep prices down while improving on the lackluster OnePlus Watch.
In addition to the Nord Watch, OnePlus also has the Nord Buds in the works. The Nord Buds can be expected to be more affordable than the ₹4,999 OnePlus Buds Z2. According to Mukul Sharma, the Nord Buds have been certified at the Indian BIS and testing is ongoing. Launch should be soon, likely alongside the OnePlus Nord 2T.
