OnePlus Nord 2T: Leaked renders appear online showcasing a new camera module, two LED flash modules and an alert slider
Yogesh Brar has revealed more details about an upcoming OnePlus smartphone, having showcased the Nord CE 2 Lite earlier this week. This time, the leaker has teamed up with Onsitego to deliver renders of the Nord 2T, the mid-generation refresh of the Nord 2. According to Brar, the Nord 2T has a 6.43-inch AMOLED panel that resolves at 1080p. Supposedly, OnePlus has complemented the 90 Hz panel with a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset, plus a 4,500 mAh battery that supports a whopping 80 W fast charging.
Moreover, the Nord 2T has a 50 MP primary rear-facing camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS). Reputedly, the Sony IMX766 will be joined by the IMX355, an 8 MP sensor that will serve as the Nord 2T's ultra-wide-angle camera. Additionally, the Nord 2T will have a 2 MP monochrome camera and a 32 MP front-facing camera, which will be the IMX709. Furthermore, the Nord 2T will have an alert slider and stereo speakers, unlike some more budget OnePlus smartphones. Wireless charging support or a 3.5 mm headphone jack seem to have eluded the Nord 2T, though.
While the Nord 2T's front design is fairly non descript, its camera housing will take some getting used to. For some reason, OnePlus has elected to include the ultra-wide-angle and monochrome cameras in an oversized housing. Also, neither lens is centred within the housing, resulting in a jarring design. The Nord 2T has two LED flash modules as well, unlike its predecessor. Reputedly, OnePlus will release the Nord 2T in black and blue colourways, not the silver option shown here. Unfortunately, it remains unclear when OnePlus will launch the Nord 2T, nor in which markets.
