JD.com and Vivo have already listed the X Note, confirming several specifications about the smartphone in the process. Based on JD.com's listings, Vivo will offer the X Note in three memory configurations, all available in black, blue and grey colourways. While the retailer has not confirmed pricing yet, it states that the X Note will come with the following RAM and storage combinations:
- 8 GB of RAM/256 GB of storage
- 12 GB of RAM/256 GB of storage
- 12 GB of RAM/512 GB of storage
Predictably, the X Note relies on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and features an in-display fingerprint reader. Additionally, the X Note has a huge 7-inch display based on the Samsung E5, an AMOLED panel that utilises LTPO backplane technology for variable refresh rates. Moreover, the Vivo X Note will have a 2K native resolution, although its exact specifications remain unknown at this stage.
Still, the line between the smartphone companies that BBK Electronics owns continues to blur. Yesterday, it emerged that the OnePlus 10R would be a re-branded Realme GT Neo3, while OnePlus rowed back on combining OxygenOS with Oppo's ColorOS. Now, Vivo has confirmed that its next flagship smartphone will also borrow a feature associated with OnePlus smartphones.
As the image below shows, the Vivo X Note will feature an alert slider, a feature found in iPhones too. However, Vivo's attempt would not be seen out of place on a OnePlus flagship, right down to its textured finish. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen whether Vivo will release the X Note globally. Vivo will provide a first look at the X Note on April 11, when it will also showcase the X Fold.
