Digital Chat Station has shared a new image of an upcoming Android tablet, thought to be a Vivo Pad official marketing image. Seemingly reproduced in a low resolution for some reason, the Vivo Pad resembles the Xiaomi Pad 5 with its rounded corners and slim display bezels. In other words, the Vivo Pad looks a lot like the iPad Pro 11 from the front too.
In comparison, the Vivo Pad has a completely flat back panel, save for its camera housing. Incidentally, the design shown contradicts one that leaked in January. However, it appears that Vivo has equipped the tablet with two rear-facing cameras, plus an LED flash. Unfortunately, it remains unclear what sensors Vivo has used here.
In saying that, the tablet will be capable of recharging its stylus inductively, mirroring many other tablets, including the Galaxy Tab S8 series. Moreover, Vivo will sell a detachable keyboard cover that has five rows, a wide trackpad and a built-in kickstand. Based on the leaked image, Vivo will market the Vivo Pad as a laptop alternative.
Reputedly, the Vivo Pad will launch during 1H 2022 with a Snapdragon 870 and SoC and 11-inch display. Based on other rumours, the 11-inch panel will operate at 2,560 x 1,600 pixels in a 16:10 aspect ratio with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Pricing and global availability remain unknown at this stage, though.
