Vivo X Fold: Design and camera details confirmed by new teasers ahead of April 11 launch
Vivo has revealed several details about the X Fold, its first foldable smartphone. As expected, yesterday's announcement was nothing more than Vivo scheduling the X Fold's release date. For reference, Vivo will reveal more details about the X Fold on April 11, although it is unclear from when the smartphone will be orderable.
In the meantime, Vivo has shared a teaser video on Weibo, embedded below. Also, the company has updated its Weibo channel to feature an X Fold marketing image with a focus on the device's foldable interior display. As far as we can tell, the X Fold handles its display bend in the same manner as the Oppo Find N, not the Galaxy Z Fold3. Theoretically, the X Fold could have a less noticeable display crease as a result.

Additionally, the same video highlights the X Fold's cameras, which Vivo has had tuned by Zeiss. While the video does not describe what sensors Vivo has used, one looks like a periscope zoom lens. Incidentally, Vivo's marketing image confirms that the X Fold has a punch-hole interior camera, plus an equivalent camera on its cover display.
The X Fold also appears to have no gaps when shut, unlike the Galaxy Z Fold3. Presumably, Vivo will continue to tease the X Fold between now and April 11, which may launch alongside the Vivo Pad. The company has shared plenty of Vivo Pad marketing images and teasers too, as we have discussed separately.
