Samsung may be months away from releasing the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4, but @UniverseIce continues to pontificate on both smartphones. Writing on Twitter, the leaker claims that Samsung hopes to minimise costs associated with developing the Galaxy Z Fold4, which is expected to land this autumn. For context, there had been rumours that Samsung had already prototyped several Galaxy Z Fold4 units with varying designs.
By contrast, @UniverseIce asserts the Galaxy Z Fold4 could feature no real design changes from the Galaxy Z Fold3. Instead, the leaker argues that this year's model may be more of a 'Fold3s', or even a 'Fold2ss' given how close the Galaxy Z Fold2 and Galaxy Z Fold3 are in design. Still, the Galaxy Z Fold4 is rumoured to contain a more durable ultra-thin glass type, to be marketed as Super UTG.
The same could be true of the Galaxy Z Flip4 as well. Allegedly, South Korean supply chains have been informed that the Galaxy Z Flip4 will retain its predecessor's design, although Samsung may have reduced display bezel thickness for this year's model. Also, the Galaxy Z Flip4 is believed to include a larger cover display and various camera improvements. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen whether Samsung will bring its under-display camera technology to this year's Galaxy Z Flip.
