Samsung releases the Galaxy A13 and A23 to the Indian market
The product cycle for Samsung's affordable-grade, yet popular, line of smartphones has started with the Galaxy A13 and A23 in 2022. Neither are 5G; however, they have been pitched at European customers for whom things like camera performance and battery life are bigger priorities. More of the same has been in evidence in their marketing now that they have also been launched in India.
Both the A13 and A23 still have 5,000mAh batteries and the same 50MP main shooters in this market. Accordingly, both phones still come with the same basic chassis and display, although the A23 is the only one linked to compatibility with Galaxy S22-level fast charging on its Samsung India sales portal.
This may not mean that much, as the necessary power brick is still missing from the box in its new region. Samsung continues to keep specific SoC information a mystery on the same new web-pages, although it does now admit that the Galaxy A23 has a Snapdragon platform, at least. This slightly more premium model is also the only one with an 8GB RAM/128GB variant, with the A13 left with 6/128GB or 4/64GB options.
Those specs allow the Samsung Galaxy A13 to start at INR 14,999 (~US$197) in its new market, or at INR 17,499 (~$229) for its 6GB top-end SKU. The A23, on the other hand, goes for INR 19,499 (~$256) with the same configuration, although pricing for the 8GB version will not be revealed until it is in stock.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy A22 5G is now on sale on Amazon.in
