Samsung Galaxy A73 5G announced for select markets with a Snapdragon 778G and a 108 MP camera
Another new addition to the Galaxy A series, the Galaxy A73 5G, will also be available in select markets
Apparently, Samsung will begin selling the Galaxy A73 5G on April 22, although it is unclear where. Pricing remains unknown at this stage as well. Presumably, the Galaxy A73 5G will cost more than the Galaxy A53, which starts at €449 and rises to €509 with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Still, Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy A73 5G will launch with the same memory configurations as the Galaxy A53.
Additionally, the Galaxy A73 5G has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1080p resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The 163.7 mm tall handset has a 5,000 mAh battery too, along with IP67 certification and a microSD card slot. Samsung adds that the Galaxy A73 5G also relies on the Snapdragon 778G, an SoC that it already used in the Galaxy A52s 5G.
Arguably, the most notable feature about the Galaxy A73 5G is its 108 MP camera, which supports OIS. The first Galaxy A series smartphone with a 108 MP camera, the Galaxy A73 5G utilises 12 MP ultra-wide-angle, dual 5 MP depth and macro sensors, and a 32 MP front-facing camera. Incidentally, the Galaxy A73 5G will ship with Android 12 and One UI 4.1, matching the Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53.
