Samsung is set to launch three different ultrathin Galaxy Book2 laptops on April 1. To promote the release, the manufacturer will be giving a free monitor with each pre-order as follows:
- Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 2-in-1 (from $1100 USD) -> 32-inch Odyssey Gaming Curved monitor
- Galaxy Book2 Pro (from $1050 USD) -> 32-inch Odyssey Gaming Curved monitor
- Galaxy Book2 360 2-in-1 ($900 USD) -> 24-inch CRG5 Gaming monitor
The three Galaxy Book2 models are notable for carrying Intel 12th gen CPUs ranging from the Core i5-1235U or Core i5-1240P up to the Core i7-1260P. Thunderbolt 4 and USB-C are supported on each model to support the 24-inch or 32-inch Samsung monitors.
In addition to the monitors, users will also receive 30 percent off the optional Samsung Care+ warranty extension program.
The two monitors have native 1080p resolution panels with FreeSync and high native refresh rates. Even though these are marketed as gaming monitors, the three Galaxy Book2 laptops are nowhere near powerful enough in terms of graphics performance to fully exploit the 144 Hz or 165 Hz panels. It's an interesting promotion nonetheless that we would love to see from other makers like MSI.
