Xiaomi has revealed a new curved gaming monitor under its Redmi brand. Currently listed on JD.com, the 30-inch monitor has a 1800R curvature, a 21:9 aspect ratio and a WFHD resolution. As Xiaomi's marketing materials show, WFHD refers to 2,560 x 1,080 pixels and is, typically, the lowest resolution of ultrawide formats.
Also, Xiaomi claims that the monitor covers 126% of the sRGB colour space and offers a 200 Hz refresh rate. The company states that the monitor supports AMD FreeSync Premium to minimise image tearing too, as well as TÜV and SGS low blue light certification to reduce eye strain. Supposedly, the Redmi Curved Monitor 30" peaks at 300 nits and provides 4 ms response times.
While the monitor cannot recharge a laptop, it has a HDMI 2.1 port, a second HDMI 1.4 connection, a full-sized DisplayPort 1.2 port, and a 3.5 mm jack. The Redmi Curved Monitor 30" will be available to order from April 8 in China, starting at CNY 1,299 (~US$204). Unfortunately, it is unclear whether Xiaomi will release the Redmi Curved Monitor 30" outside China. Still, third-party retailers may eventually start selling it, as is the case with the Xiaomi Gaming Mouse Lite.
