Over the past year, multiple patents filed by Samsung have hinted at the company's plans to bring a new foldable design to the market. That now looks certain to happen, with an influx of news strongly indicating a third foldable phone from Samsung.
According to a report by Galaxy Club, Samsung is set to launch a new foldable phone this year, potentially alongside the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4—both of which are scheduled to debut in August at Unpacked. Supposedly, this device is well into the development stage and is ready to go into production.
Reputedly, Samsung will launch three foldables this year: B4, Q4, and N4. B4 will be the Galaxy Z Flip4, Q4 the Galaxy Z Fold4, and N4 the new, currently unnamed foldable. Tipster Ice Universe reckons that this device is codenamed "Diamond". As it stands, though, it appears that this new device may only be available in limited quantities. That makes sense, as it would be a first-gen product in a segment still widely regarded to suffer from teething problems.
As for the device itself, well, not much is known. Rumors currently range from a large tablet-style form factor, to a rollable or slidable phone. We'll be sure to keep you updated either way.
