Leaker dashes hopes of a built-in S-Pen on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4
Information on Samsung's plans to equip the Galaxy Z Fold4 with a built-in S-Pen has been conflicting. It appears, however, that the upcoming foldable will not sport an S-Pen slot, contrary to what earlier rumors claimed.
As revealed by Ice Universe, Samsung has no plans to equip the Galaxy Z Fold4 with a built-in S-Pen. This means that the August-bound foldable will likely toe a similar line to the Galaxy Z Fold3, with S-Pen support but no slot in the device itself. The Galaxy Z Fold3 only offers compatibility for two styluses—the S-Pen Fold Edition and S-Pen Pro. According to recent reports, Samsung looks to be building a new stylus for the Galaxy Z Fold4 that has just gone into production.
In addition, Ice Universe confirms that the Galaxy Z Fold4 will be a bit smaller and thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold3, corroborating previous rumors. A smaller chassis would, of course, make the feasibility of an S-Pen slot even lower. The Galaxy Z Fold4 is expected to borrow the Galaxy S22 Ultra's 1/1.3-inch 108 MP camera too, however, and it'll be interesting to see what kind of camera bump that introduces.
Galaxy Z Fold4 will not have built-in S Pen. Fold4 will be a little smaller and thinner. This is correct. No one likes a brick.
