Vivo X Fold: Teaser for upcoming foldable smartphone lands as company confirms March 28 announcement
Vivo has started teasing the X Fold on Weibo, just days after pictures of its dual ultrasonic fingerprint sensors leaked. While the company has revealed many details about the X Fold yet, it has hinted at the smartphone's design, seen in the embedded image below. Incidentally, it has presented its first teaser as butterfly wings, represented above.
Additionally, the company has informed its fans that it will reveal more on Monday, presumably March 28. Meanwhile, a close-up of the device's camera housing has leaked, appearing to highlight a telephoto lens among the four camera sensors. Seemingly, Vivo will adopt this round camera housing across numerous future products, including the X Note and the upcoming Vivo Pad.
In all likelihood, Vivo's will announce the X Fold's launch date on Monday, rather than revealing the device entirely. Based on previous leaks, the Vivo X Fold will also rely on the same form factor as the Galaxy Z Fold3 and the Mate X2. Similarly, Vivo's first foldable will have a punch-hole camera on its outer display that could have a slight curvature to it. Unfortunately, it is unclear yet whether Vivo will release the X Fold outside China.
