We are still a few days away from the release of the Vivo X Fold, but more details have emerged online. On the one hand, a video has leaked showcasing the device's dual ultrasonic fingerprint scanners. While an earlier leak already confirmed that the X Fold would feature two fingerprint scanners, the video is the first time seeing them in action.
On the other hand, @ishanagarwal24 and MySmartPrice have shared a marketing render of the X Fold in a second colour. Unsurprisingly, the second colour resembles one that Vivo has showcased for the X Note, another smartphone that the company will unveil on April 11. Although not identical, the X Fold's grey colourway even has a pattern on it, further mirroring the X Note.
Separately, WHY LAB has published Chinese prices for the X Fold on Weibo. Seemingly taken from Vivo's official launch slide deck, the images also show the X Fold in two colours. Based on WHY LAB's images, the X Fold will start at CNY 11,999 (~US$1,886) with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
However, the handset will rise to CNY 12,999 (~US$2,044) with the same amount of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Purportedly, the X Fold's hinge design has contributed to the device's high launch price, as well as its limited production volumes. If that is the case, we doubt that Vivo will sell the handset globally, even if it makes it to India.
