The Vivo X Fold made its grand debut last week with a slew of impressive hardware. The phone is said to be creaseless, but a side-by-side image with Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold3 offers a different perspective.

Last week, Vivo debuted the Vivo X Fold as its first foldable phone. While the foldable is yet to reach reviewer hands, a new image comparison with the Galaxy Z Fold3 has revealed an advantage the Vivo X Fold appears to have over the Samsung device.

In a side-by-side image comparison depicting the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Vivo X Fold, the X Fold looks to have a less noticeable crease. Vivo is said to have advertised the X Fold as being creaseless but the shared images indicates that to be false, as the foldable phone still sports an obvious crease.

At first glance, the Vivo X Fold's crease looks less noticeable but a closer inspection shows that it's just wider and shallower, versus the Galaxy Z Fold3's thinner but deeper crease. That's a similar implementation to what OPPO does on the Find N, but most would agree that the Find N has the least obvious crease of any foldable on the market right now.

The Vivo X Fold starts at the equivalent of US$1,415, but is currently exclusive to China. While a global launch would not be shocking, the Galaxy Z Fold3 can be had for US$1,499 right now and is likely still the better option for potential buyers outside China.
