For a first-gen flexing-display device, the Vivo X Fold is rated to solve many problems still present in even the most modern of its rivals right out of the gate. Its up-to-date form-factor opens outward to reveal an ~8-inch main AMOLED display with elusive 1-120Hz LTPO 3.0 tech, has an impressively high resolution, and may not even crease up that much.
Furthermore, it has an under-display fingerprint reader, whereas even the Galaxy Z Fold3 has a frame-mounted solution. Therefore, should Vivo decide to go and follow the crowd in releasing an updated model with the slightly newer Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 silicon in place of the X Fold's still flagship-grade 8 Gen 1, its fans might hope that this feature would stay right in place.
Never fear, the Vivo X Fold "S" will apparently be here soon with its dual fingerprint sensors (and, presumably, the inevitable astronomical starting price) right in place. According to the leaker Digital Chat Station, it will outdo every other foldable device, even those to launch imminently in 2022, in this manner. Saying that, the latest Motorola Razr might still be equipped to give it a headache nonetheless.
