OnePlus plans to release more devices in its budget Nord brand. One of those will be a smartwatch, the OnePlus Nord Watch, and word on the grapevine indicates that the watch is well on its way.
As revealed by Mukul Sharma, the OnePlus Nord Watch looks to be set to launch soon. Supposedly, the smartwatch has now entered serial production "in several European and Eurasian regions", with launch being imminent. If that's any indication, the OnePlus Nord Watch can be expected to be available across Europe and Asia when it makes its debut.
Details of the OnePlus Nord Watch remain elusive but the same source claims the smartwatch is unlikely to feature WearOS. That's hardly a surprise, as the OnePlus Watch doesn't run WearOS either. Likely, the Nord Watch will run software similar to its more expensive stablemate, but hopefully with more features as the OnePlus Watch received plenty of flak for its lackluster feature set.
The Nord Watch will, of course, be cheaper than the OnePlus Watch as is expected of Nord-branded devices. The OnePlus Watch costs €159 in Europe, for some context. We'll keep you updated on this.
