OnePlus 10RT is tipped to launch as the OEM's next India-exclusive smartphone thanks to a new leak
OnePlus launched an inaugural 9RT as a cost-effective flagship variant exclusive to China and, later, India. Now, the smartphone is rumored to get an upgrade destined for the latter market in 2022. According to the leaker Mukul Sharma, it has just obtained BIS approval to launch, meaning it might do so sooner rather than later.
This device has allegedly been certified as the CPH2143 - a model number that has surfaced in leaks before, albeit in conjunction with rumors of a OnePlus 10. It is painted as an incoming, cut-price version of the 10 Pro without some of that flagship's best features, as is the also-predicted 10T.
Therefore, it might launch as a world-first for OnePlus, albeit not necessarily in a good way. Accordingly, it could make sense for it to become a new RT in India: the first one also lacks for fancy camera logos (although it still does have some high-end sensors...not to mention an Alert Slider).
Then again, the "10RT" is now tipped to retain a 120Hz AMOLED display, have triple rear cameras (another possible indication of a 10 Pro-like rear panel) and 2 color options (green and black again). Its pricing or availability on its putative debut remain unknown, however.
