Rumored OnePlus 10 Ultra and OnePlus 10 may actually be the OnePlus 10T 5G
Over the past few months, multiple reports have surfaced fanning the flames of an upcoming top-shelf flagship phone from OnePlus. Supposedly, that phone, rumored to be the OnePlus 10 Ultra, would be OnePlus's alternative to the Galaxy S22 Ultra. A new leak now calls all of that into doubt, however.
According to leaker Max Jambor, the supposed OnePlus 10 Ultra does not exist. Instead of that phone, OnePlus is said to be geared to bring the OnePlus 10T 5G to the market later in the year, essentially keeping to its traditional naming scheme and release schedule. The source is also vehement that the rumored vanilla OnePlus 10 does not exist either; both the OnePlus 10 Ultra and OnePlus 10 are actually the same device—the OnePlus 10T 5G.
OnePlus, at the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 event, confirmed its plans to launch a device with that chipset in Q3. That phone now looks certain to be the OnePlus 10T 5G, and not the OnePlus 10 Ultra as earlier assumed. On the flip side, the vanilla OnePlus 10 was rumored to feature a Dimensity 9000, so there's a chance the company may launch a device with that chipset later in the year, albeit not branded as the "OnePlus 10".
