OnePlus put its Chinese-market launch for a flagship smartphone ahead of that for other regions for the first time in 2022 with the 10 Pro. When this second-gen Hasselblad-branded device did land in North America, it did so without the 12GB RAM option that has become all but standard among top-end mobile devices by now.
Therefore, there was only 1 8GB SKU for the US and Canadian markets on the phone's launch in those countries, priced at US$899 and CA$1,149 respectively. Now, however, it has been joined by a second variant with more RAM - by popular demand, according to OnePlus.
The new option is also the only one with 256GB of internal storage. It can be ordered via OnePlus' official store from now, for either US$70 or CA$100 more than the base model, although it will not ship until June 15, 2022 at the earliest.
The OEM has also indicated that it will appear alongside its 8GB RAM counterpart on its Amazon.com page on that date. The new top-end SKU will still have 65W charging rather than the 80W upgrade found in other markets, however.
Then again, while this might bring slightly slower wired power speeds to North American units of the 10 Pro, they do at least come with a more universal and versatile USB type-C to C cable, whereas 80W SuperVOOC requires type-C to A.
