OnePlus opens reservations for the 10 Pro in the US and Canada
OnePlus has now started to tease its international launch event for its 2022 flagship smartphone, the 10 Pro. Now, it is offering those in North America the chance to make sure of being able to buy this device from day 1 via its webstore in exchange for a small deposit fee.
Accordingly, OnePlus fans can pay either US$1 or CA$1 to reserve their 10 Pro unit, with the added possibility of it shipping "early", on the OEM's website. Oddly enough, these pre-order customers do not get the option to set their RAM/storage configuration preferences, as the company has yet to reveal which options are coming to international shores.
For reference, the 10 Pro came in 8 or 12GB RAM SKUs on its original release to the Chinese market. Similarly, reservation-makers in the US and Canada are doing so sight-unseen in terms of price as well - although OnePlus has let it be known they are getting a pair of its Pro TWS earbuds for free on completion of the order.
OnePlus' reservation process in another country, Nepal, does come with more transparent pricing: here, a 12GB/256GB model will ship for 135,000 rupees (NPR, or ~US$1,106) from April 2, 2022.
This, then, may be a rough guide for the extent to which a US or Canadian pre-order customer might be hit should they reserve their 10 Pro, which they can do until March 31, 2022 on the device's launch...time that could be spent practising not sitting on their new Hasselblad-branded, LTPO 2.0-enhanced smartphone.
