Recently, the OnePlus 10 Pro has been previewed as the OEM's imminent early-2022 flagship smartphone with the updated design strongly hinted at through many of its leaks up to this point. Now, OnePlus has also confirmed that the premium device will launch with the latest version of ColorOS.
This 12.1 iteration will be based on Android 12, and is now teased as the upgrade that brings more of the newest features from OnePlus' parent OPPO to this brand, its Omojis included.
Despite this potential for extra features, OnePlus has indicated that it will uphold its reputation for system "smoothness" rated to endure for years after one of their new smartphones comes out of the box.
Incidentally, it now seems TÜV's SÜD laboratory has come up with a new battery of tests that assess just this kind of moblle-device attribute. They culminate in a new "Fluency" certification, now slated to debut in the 10 Pro at an "A" level.
This new apparent system-optimization equivalent of a DisplayMate A+ rating is apparently in effect for each new OnePlus 10 Pro unit on ColorOS for the next 36 months. Therefore, it may not apply to international versions of the same phone, as they may retain their OxygenOS ROM on their own launch.
