Realme launches Buds Air6 Pro headphones with 50 dB ANC, LDAC support and two drivers per ear
Realme is offering new headphones. The Realme Buds Air6 Pro are not equipped with just one driver, instead, each have an 11-millimeter and a 6-millimeter driver. These are woofers and tweeters, which should allow for a better audio experience and bass reproduction. As usual, the headphones can be connected to a source, such as a smartphone, via Bluetooth, whereby the LDAC codec is supported. This is intended to deliver high audio quality.
Active noise cancellation is available. It should be possible to significantly reduce traffic noise by up to 50 dB, for example. According to the manufacturer, 3D audio is also supported, but such spatial sound is ultimately also physically limited, as only a limited number of drivers are available.
There are three microphones on each of the two headphones. One is directed downwards and therefore towards the mouth, while the other microphones are intended to pick up ambient noise - this allows ambient noise to be filtered out even during phone conversations, meaning that the other party can hear clear speech in the best-case scenario, even in heavy traffic.
The battery life of the Realme Buds Air6 Pro is specified as 40 hours with intermediate charges and without ANC; with ANC, the headphones should last 7.5 hours. A gaming mode reduces the latency to 55 milliseconds. The regular retail price in China is quoted at around 65 euros, information on the global release is not yet available. The previous model - Realme Buds Air5 Pro - is currently available on Amazon for around 83 euros.
