Deal | Apple Airpods Max, Airpods 2nd Generation discounted to just over lowest prices on Amazon

Apple users in search of a good set of headphones are in luck today. Apple's AirPods Max over-ear headphones are discounted 18% to an almost all-time low price, and the more affordable 2nd Generation AirPods are discounted to just a dollar over their lowest-ever price.

The AirPods Max are Apple's flagship headphones. The cans feature Apple's H1 chip for high-end audio processing and support spatial audio, Active Noise Canceling (ANC), and audio pass through (or "Transparency Mode," as Apple calls it). The AirPods Max is also rated for 20 hours of battery life, according to Apple.

Sound is pumped through the earpieces by 40 mm neodymium drivers. The AirPods Max also has an IR sensor that can detect when they are removed and pause sound output accordingly. While the AirPods Max typically retail for $549, they are on sale for $100 off on Amazon right now, dropping the price to $449. This is only $20 higher than its lowest price ever. 

For those that prefer in-ear headphones (or want to save some cash), Apple's 2nd Generation AirPods are also on sale. This version of Apple's TWS buds includes a case that charges via a Lightning connector. The 2nd Gen AirPods have the same H1 chip as the AirPods Max, although they lack ANC and don't support spatial audio. On the plus side, they do have an IR sensor similar to Apple's other headphones, which senses when they are removed from an ear and pauses playback. 

The 2nd Gen AirPods are discounted from $50 to $79.99, which is just $0.99 more than their lowest price.
