Anker offers a wide range of audio products under its soundcore brand, including a very extensive portfolio of headphones, which is now being expanded to include another model. The soundcore P30i come with a twist: the charging case can not only store and charge the headphones, but also has an additional flap on the underside that can be used as a stand for a smartphone. This may prove useful for watching movies when on the go, for example.
The soundcore P30i are in-ear headphones with active suppression of ambient noise, which can be reduced by up to 42 dB. There is even a diagram showing the relationship between the achievable noise reduction and the frequency of the background noise - the maximum reduction is said to be reached at 100 Hz. A transparency mode is available. 10-millimeter drivers are installed.
The maximum total runtime with intermediate charging with ANC deactivated is specified as up to 45 hours, with active ANC up to 30 hours. With ANC, the individual headphones should last up to 7 hours. A total of four microphones is intended to ensure high call quality. Connection to several Bluetooth devices simultaneously is supported, with Bluetooth 5.4 being supported. Lastly, IP54 certification is advertised.
The soundcore P30i are already available in the US at a price of just under $50. A possible alternative - without a smartphone stand - would be the cheaper Anker P3i.
