Anker has launched a new power bank with an accompanying USB cable: the PowerCore Power Bank 20000mAh 30W Portable Charger with USB-C Cable. The accessory, with model number A1384, is already on sale in a few countries like Australia and is rumored to arrive in the US soon.
The 20K 30W Power bank’s 20,000mAh capacity is said to allow you to charge an iPhone 14 4.5 times or a Samsung Galaxy S23 3.8 times. You can simultaneously charge up to three devices via two USB-C and one USB-A port. The USB-C ports offer 30W fast charging with support for various protocols, including PD, QC and SCP, and can also be used to recharge the power bank with a 30W input. The USB-A port delivers a maximum of 18W power, with the total multiport output apparently capped at 24W. Other features include ActiveShield 2.0 technology, a trickle charging mode and a digital display showing the remaining battery level as a percentage.
The fully detachable cable is one notable difference compared to other recent power banks with USB-C from Anker, like this Power Bank Battery Pack. The company suggests it can be used as a lanyard to transport the device, and the cable looks replaceable, unlike the integrated version. You can buy the Anker 20K 30W Power Bank with detachable USB-C cable in Australia for AU$99.95 (~$66). A 10,000mAh version of the power bank offering 22.5W charging is also available in the country, retailing for AU$64.95 (~$43). The pricing for other regions like North America remains unclear.
