Rumors suggest that Anker will launch new portable power banks with built-in Lightning cables. The company has historically offered four accessories in this category, including the Anker 621 Power Bank (Built-in Lightning Connector, 12W), launched last year. Other models include the Anker PowerCore+ 10,000, the Anker PowerCore+ 10000 Pro and the Anker PowerCore III Slim 5K.
According to Reddit user u/joshuadwx, Anker is set to release new versions of two products with built-in Lightning rather than USB-C cables. These accessories are the Anker 3-in-1 Power Bank (30W, Fusion, Built-In USB-C Cable) and the Anker Power Bank (10K, Fusion, Built-In USB-C Cable), arriving earlier in 2024. Both models allow you to charge two devices simultaneously thanks to a USB-C port alongside the cable. The products also offer foldable pins for charging plug functionality and a display showing the remaining battery. The difference between these two power banks is in the capacity; the 3-in-1 Power Bank has 5,000 mAh, while the second model has 10,000 mAh.
In 2022, Apple confirmed that it was moving away from Lightning charging in favour of USB-C for iPhones, a change which came into effect with the iPhone 15 series. However, many users still have older models and could therefore find a Lightning charging solution helpful. The release date and pricing for these new models, expected to be named the Anker 3-in-1 Power Bank (30W, Fusion, Built-In Lightning Cable) and the Anker Power Bank (10K, Fusion, Built-In Lightning Cable), have yet to be announced. To give you an idea, the Anker 3-in-1 Power Bank and Anker Power Bank (10K) with built-in USB-C cables retail for $39.99 and $44.99, respectively.
