AYANEO confirms Retro Power Bank specs and launch plans

AYANEO has elaborated on the whereabouts of its Retro Power Bank, six months after the accessories' debut. In a press release, the company explains that it has equipped the Retro Power Bank with a 12,000 mAh 'high-density lithium battery' from some of its other gaming handheld devices. Additionally, the power bank can recharge a device at up to 45 W, but no 65 W or 100 W.

Nonetheless, the Retro Power Bank adopts the USB Type-C Power Delivery (PD) standard. Moreover, AYANEO has included two USB Type-C ports, which it has arranged like a pair of controller ports. To that end, it has also integrated what would be power and reset buttons on the SNES. However, it remains to be seen what functions these will serve on the Retro Power Bank.

Furthermore, the Retro Power Bank features a monochrome OLED display. Although the company has not provided any display specifications yet, it insists that the panel can show real-time charging and discharging information for two connected devices simultaneously. Currently, AYANEO claims that the Retro Power Bank 'is set to launch soon'. Unfortunately, the company has not provided specifics yet. Still, these are more concrete release details than AYANEO has offered for its AG01 eGPU, AM01S mini-PC or Pocket DMG and Pocket Micro gaming handhelds.
