AYANEO has provided more details about the AG01, an external GPU (eGPU) that it describes as a 'Starship Graphics Dock'. Like the GPD G1 and One-Netbook ONEXPLAYER ONEXGPU (curr. $699.95 on Amazon) before it, the AG01 relies upon AMD's Radeon RX 7600M XT laptop GPU. As such, the AG01 offers 32 Compute Units, equivalent to 2,048 cores, and 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM operating on a 128-bit memory bus with a 120 W total graphics power (TGP).
Unfortunately, the AG01 is non-upgradeable, as is the case with its competitors. Nonetheless, AYANEO hopes to distinguish the AG01 by its port offering, remarking that it is the 'most versatile and fully-featured graphics docking station' announced to date. To that end, the company has equipped the AG01 with the following ports:
- 2x DisplayPort 2.0
- 2x HDMI 2.1
- 1x OCuLink
- 1x RJ45
- 1x USB 4 (Thunderbolt 3/Thunderbolt 4 compatible)
- 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
Additionally, the AG01 contains an M.2 2280 slot, just like the ONEXGPU. For reference, the ONEXGPU contains one more USB Type-A port than the AG01. However, One-Netbook has not confirmed the speeds of its HDMI or USB Type-A ports. While AYANEO has not revealed pricing or availability yet, it has outlined that the AG01 will eventually launch in standard and 'battle-damaged' limited editions, the former of which in Interstellar Grey and Nebula Red finishes.
