The ONEXPLAYER ONEXGPU is now orderable, with One-Netbook having already exceeded its modest Indiegogo campaign goal. As expected, the eGPU starts at US$599, which undercuts the GPD G1's launch price by 8.5%. However, the ONEXGPU is currently 10.5% cheaper than the GPD G1, since the latter has now risen to US$670.
Please note that One-Netbook intends to raise the ONEXGPU from US$599 to US$789 on December 2, thus eliminating any price advantage over the GPD G1. Fundamentally, the pair should offer the same performance as each other courtesy of their shared AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT GPUs. For reference, AMD compares the GPU against the desktop version of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 in its official benchmarks, which it achieves with 32 Compute Units and 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM.
It is worth keeping in mind that the ONEXGPU will exhibit some performance loss even over Oculink (Optical-Copper Link), although less so than using USB 4.0/Thunderbolt 4. Additionally, One-Netbook includes various other ports, including a pair of USB Type-A ports, plus a small active fan and RGB lighting. Moreover, the ONEXGPU has an M.2 2280 slot for PCIe 3.0 SSDs, should you need more storage than your host device. Currently, One-Netbook hopes to begin shipping the ONEXGPU from next month.
