The RedMagic 5088 Partition is the company's first gaming monitor underpinned by 5,088 Mini LED backlight zones. Supposedly, the new monitor can reach up to 1,400 nits peak brightness, which RedMagic has combined with a 160 Hz refresh rate and a 4K native resolution, among other features.

RedMagic has unveiled the 5088 Partition, a new 27-inch gaming monitor with a few tricks up its sleeve. Principally, the RedMagic 5088 Partition is another 4K IPS gaming monitor, which also delivers 1 ms response times with a 160 Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the monitor boasts 99% DCI-P3 colour space coverage and △E<1 colour deviations, which should ensure excellent colour accuracy.

Another highlight is the monitor's 5,088 Mini LED backlight zones, which help it achieve VESA DisplayHDR 1400 certification. Thus, the RedMagic 5088 Partition should provide up to 1,400 nits peak brightness and a 3.5x greater dynamic contrast ratio than DisplayHDR 1000-certified monitors. Furthermore, RedMagic has included various ports, including a 90 W USB Type-C port, plus an eye-catching RGB light ring on the monitor's rear panel.

The RedMagic 5088 Partition starts at CNY 5,499 (~US$770) in China as part of a launch deal. Eventually, the company will sell the monitor in its home market for CNY 5,999 (~US$840). As with the Realm, a new QD-OLED monitor, RedMagic has not confirmed a global release yet; please see the company's website for more details.
