AOC Gaming CU34G2XP/BK debuts with four video inputs, USB hub and 180 Hz refresh rate
The CU34G2XP/BK is another curved gaming monitor produced by AOC Gaming. For context, the company also recently introduced the CU34G2XE/BK, which we have covered separately. While the pair share similar model numbers, the CU34G2XP/BK is a more expensive alternative to the CU34G2XE/BK for a few reasons.
On the one hand, the CU34G2XP/BK boasts a 180 Hz refresh rate, which it combines with a 3,440 x 1,440-pixel native resolution (WQHD). Additionally, the monitor sports faster 1 ms GtG response times and AMD FreeSync Premium certification for mitigating image tearing. The CU34G2XP/BK offers a 21:9 aspect ratio, and a 1500R curvature, like its cheaper counterpart, though.
On the other hand, the CU34G2XP/BK is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified for an ensured 400 nits peak brightness. Moreover, the monitor delivers 99% sRGB colour space coverage and AOC's numerous controls, including G-Menu, Shadow Control and six gaming presets. Incidentally, the CU34G2XP/BK contains two DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 ports apiece, as well as four USB Type-A ports. Furthermore, the former integrates an ergonomic stand that supports height, tilt and swivel adjustments. The Gaming CU34G2XP/BK should be available from mid-December 2023 for £339; please see AOC's website for more details.
