Predator XB283K V3: Acer's new 4K and 150 Hz gaming monitor already drops to US$439.99
The Predator XB283K V3 is another of Acer's new gaming monitors, which the company has started selling at the same time as the Predator XB273U V3. According to TFT Central, Acer has based the Predator XB283K V3 around an Innolux AAS panel, which should be considered an IPS-type panel. As its 'K' suffix suggests, the monitor outputs natively at 4K (3,840 x 2,160), unlike the 1440p Predator XB273U V3.
Additionally, the Predator XB283K V3 delivers a 150 Hz refresh rate, 400 nits peak brightness, 1 ms GtG response times and 90% DCI-P3 colour space coverage. The monitor supports AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC too, which should help reduce image tearing with AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards connected, respectively. Also, Acer claims that the Predator XB283K V3 provides DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 connections, although the latter's capabilities are not listed.
Officially, the Predator XB283K V3 should sell for US$499.99. However, Acer is already offering the monitor for US$439.99 on Amazon. Seemingly, this is a permanent reduction rather than anything associated with Amazon's Holiday Deals. Incidentally, Acer also sells the similar Predator XB273U V3 for US$249.99, which we have covered separately.
