Acer has launched the Predator XB273U V3, a 27-inch gaming monitor that it has started selling alongside the Predator XB283K V3 in the US. As its name suggests, the Predator XB273U V3 relies upon a 27-inch panel that Acer states utilises IPS technology. Additionally, the panel offers the following characteristics:
- 2,560 x 1,440-pixel resolution
- 180 Hz refresh rate
- 1 ms GtG response times (0.5 ms overdrive)
- 400 nits peak brightness
- 1,000:1 contrast ratio
- 95% DCI-P3 colour space coverage
Moreover, Acer has integrated variable refresh rate technology to mitigate image tearing when gaming. Accordingly, the Predator XB273U V3 is AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC certified, which it complements with VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. Also, Acer has included an adjustable stand that can be tilted, raised, swivelled or rotated. Unfortunately, the monitor lacks any VESA mounts for using third-party stands.
Furthermore, the Predator XB273U V3 features a pair of 2 W speakers, a 3.5 mm jack and three video outputs split between one DisplayPort connection and two HDMI 2.0 ports. At the time of writing, Acer has priced the Predator XB273U V3 at US$349.99. However, Amazon is currently selling the monitor for US$249.99. Please see Acer's website for more details.
