ASUS has pushed another round of updates to the ROG Ally, roughly a month after it added support for 900p mode (1,600 x 900), among other changes. While late October's updates focused on addressing bug fixes, Armoury Crate SE (ACSE) 1.4.5 adds various new features and enhancements.
Arguably, the biggest improvement is gyroscope controls, for which ASUS has also included calibration settings. In a support post, ASUS states that gyroscope controls can be enabled in the Game Profile within ACSE by setting Control Mode to Auto. However, these new controls will only work with MCU 316 installed, which ASUS is rolling out simultaneously.
Additionally, ACSE 1.4.5 introduces a joystick response curve, again tied to MCU 316, as well as an option for toggling CPU turbo boost in Eco Assist settings. Moreover, ASUS has added more Real-Time Monitor layouts, which it now lists as minimal, row, and square. ACSE 1.4.5 and MCU 316 are joined by BIOS 334, an update that resolves an outstanding ACSE Real-Time Monitor bug.
