TCL CSOT has unveiled its latest offerings in display technology at the DTC 2023 event in China. An AI model designed for the display industry and a range of products were shown, including some that use the company’s new OLED 8K technology, initially revealed in May in a 65-inch ink-jet printing foldable display.
One of these devices is a 65-inch 8K IJP OLED Curved Monitor, which TCL claims is a world first. The display has over 33 million pixels with a maximum 120Hz refresh rate. The 1800R curve provides an immersive experience with consistent quality across various angles. The monitor covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color space, thanks in part to the ink-jet printing technology, which should also help to reduce production costs.
Another new product was the 27-inch 8K display, a 3D monitor with eye-tracking technology via a connected camera. Also shown was a printed 14-inch 2.8K OLED panel for notebooks with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, alongside a 57-inch Dual Ultra-High-Definition (DUHD) Mini LED monitor. This larger model also has an 8K resolution with over 11,000 backlight partitions, a 240Hz refresh rate and a 1ms response time. It remains to be seen when TCL could provide more details about these products, such as an on-sale date and pricing.
